Types of Kidney diseases:
Kidney failure doesn’t occur at once, but in stages. It becomes important to recognize it and act according to the stage that it falls on. To ascertain the particular stage that the kidney patient is suffering from, the doctor will have to calculate the Glomerular Filtration Rate (GFR). It is precise in nature and the result is available in numeric term. It is then used to recognize the correct stage. While calculating GFR, the patient’s age, gender and other factors are to be kept in mind. Chronic Kidney Disease falls into 5 main stages- Stage 1 & Stage 2: These are the initial stages of kidney damage wherein the GFR remains slightly lower. There are no obvious signs of damage in these stages. Some common symptoms developed during these stages are-
Stage 3: A person diagnosed with a chronic kidney disease during stage 3 may face mild damage. Stage 3 can further be classified into two parts- 45-59 ml/min 30-44 ml/min Common symptoms faced by patients at stage 3 include-
Stage 4: This is one of the advanced stages of chronic kidney disease. A person falling into stage 4 may have a GFR level between 15 -30 ml/min. Common symptoms faced by patients at stage 4 include-
Stage 5: This is the last stage of the kidney disease. The GFR level is 15 ml/min or less. In this stage, the kidney loses its capability to filter waste from the body. Some common symptoms faced by patients during this stage are-

The Relation of Creatinine with Kidneys: The creatinine is a waste product produced by the body on a daily basis. It is present in the blood and the urine. It is produced naturally by the body and the excess of it is passed on to the kidneys through blood for purification. If the kidneys fail to function properly, it is unable to process and eliminate creatinine.
